What will happen during a massage and shortly after
From your first visit my aim is to offer you a personal service, specific to your own needs.
Every client is individual and requires a massage built upon their own personal circumstances. These will depend upon their age, agility, fitness and general health.
On your first visit I will ask you about your general health and fitness, to find out how you are feeling? This may include questions about your work or social interactions.
For example you may be in excellent health but could have pulled a muscle or stressed an area of your body during your working out routine. Or you may be just weary/tired from general daily routines or work. It is important for me to know in advance so that I can be aware of this during your massage.
Further sessions may require a brief consultation to update me on any ongoing or new health implications which may be causing you concern or pain. e.g. Having a cold, recovering from Covid, sports injury or impaired immune system are examples which are important for me to be aware of so that your session can be adapted if necessary to avoid further pain or discomfort.
You may find immediately after your massage that you feel dehydrated, or light headed. These symptoms should quickly pass, though sometimes you may feel a little achey for a day or two afterwards.
